Everything you need
Point it at your folders. Albums, artists and songs with tags and cover art, searchable instantly.
The open Radio Browser directory built in, with favorites, genres and your own stream URLs.
Preamp, 10 bands, presets and a live response curve. Right on the Now Playing screen.
Spectrum, mirror, wave, oscilloscope and radial. Click for full screen and lose yourself.
Drag to reorder, shuffle, repeat one. Import and export M3U, or save the queue as a playlist.
Wrong cover or messy names? Pick the right match from MusicBrainz. Your files are never touched.
Media keys, macOS Now Playing, the Windows media overlay and Linux MPRIS. Plus keyboard shortcuts for everything.
Drop files, folders or playlists on the window. Network shares play smoothly thanks to preloading.
Library
UMPlayer scans your music folders, reads tags and embedded art, and fetches missing covers from the free Cover Art Archive. Artist photos fade in behind Now Playing. Pick Comfy or Cozy list density, and the striped track lists stay easy to scan.
Internet radio
Browse around 50,000 stations from the open Radio Browser directory. Filter by genre, save favorites, or paste any stream URL. Jazz from New Orleans, news from London, techno from Berlin.
Sound
A proper 10-band equalizer with preamp, presets and a live response curve, inspired by the classic Winamp look. It sits right where you listen, on the Now Playing screen, not buried in Settings.
Visualizer
Five full-screen styles, each tuned for both themes. In the app, switch with the arrow keys.
Light & dark
Dark, light or follow your system. Drag to compare. Adjustable window transparency included, with frosted glass on macOS.

Our promise
No account to create, no ads to watch, nothing phoning home. UMPlayer never rewrites your music files, and the whole thing is open source, so you can check every line.
Roadmap
UMPlayer starts with what you own and what's free to hear. Next up: your own music servers.
